About Us
If you don’t know what CrossTalk is yet, it is a mobile application that can be used to share the gospel with others, it equips individuals with the ability to connect unbelievers to a local church and encourages them to continue their walk of faith beyond their first visit.
Finding a church that is right for you and your family is one of the most important decisions you will make. At CrossTalk, we know that coming to a new church can be intimidating. We want to show you what you can expect before you arrive. Our goal is to provide information through the app that will help you gain a better understanding of the church’s environment. From the locations and service times, language spoken, average church attendance, the demographic make-up of the congregation, various ministries offered by the church, worship and theological styles and other features that differentiate each church.
With the average American spending two hours a day on their smartphones, and an estimated 85% of that time is spent using apps. Smartphones are the #1 way of communication (text, email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and App’s are now the #1 way to process information. If we want to reach people where they are, an app must be an integral part of our communication. We use our smartphones for everything else: shopping for groceries, booking hotels, buying cars, searching for restaurants, why not have the same capability to help people find churches! We want to put the information at people’s fingertips the instance a gospel conversation occurs.
We have made every effort to make sure the first visit to a church is as comfortable and welcoming as possible. From knowing where to go when arriving on the campus, where to take children, teens, or college students, how to dress, where to park, and answer any other questions one may have to make their visit less intimidating. If the church offers nursery and toddler care during Sunday Worship times, we want them to know if it is safe and clean, show pictures, know where the nursery and children’s ministry is located, and ensure there will be friendly greeters at the front door ready to point them in the right direction upon arrival.
OUR MISION
CrossTalk exists to support and extend the evangelistic calling and ministries of churches, by proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all, by every effective means available to us, and by equipping the church and others to do the same. Our mission is to inspire others to action by equipping individuals with resources and tools they need to help connect the unchurched to a place they can call home. Our desire is to empower men and women of all ages to act more effectively and to see themselves as an intricate part of God’s plan in all realms of life.
OUR VISION
To create the next great awakening in the Christian movement, by bringinginto unity all denominations of Christianity, and to work towards the same vision, fulfilling the Great Commission.
OUR HEART
You and I were never called to do life from the sidelines we are called to go all in, a term that simply means placing all that you have into God’s hands. We are a movement of people who are rooted in God’s love and therefore are compelled to live a life of action in response to that. When we act on what God has done through us and use that as a catalyst to spread change throughout our world miracles happen. We believe encountering God changes lives so much so that we will be inspired to live like Jesus did which is all in lifestyle of doing.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
In order for a church to have a profile on the CrossTalk Church App they must agree to our Statement of Faith which says:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world. We believe the Bible is supernaturally inspired, so that it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration, so that it is a Divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 3:16.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - that these three are one God.. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.
We believe in God as the absolute and sole Creator of the Universe and that creation was by Divine action, not through evolutionary process.
We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism. Matthew 9:35-38, 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15.
We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen. Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10.
We believe that in His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a sacrifice for sin. Men are therefore saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; Revelation 20:11-15.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the church. 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23.
We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15; 1 Peter 3:15.
We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man; that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, in which He taught and performed mighty works and wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the four gospels; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was bodily raised from the dead on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers and from where He is coming again, personally, bodily and visibly to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15.
We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners. We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell. Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10.
We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.

OUR STORY
While attending Crossover St. Louis for SBC2016, I noticed a need that I think would be beneficial for Christians when sharing the gospel. We saw 22 people come to Christ that week and it changed my life. I live in North Carolina and had no idea about the churches in St. Louis, the only thing I could tell people about the local churches was what I had witnessed from the two churches we were representing.
The problem was these churches were not the best matches for these people we were seeing come to Christ and we didn’t know where to suggest sending them.
On the way back to Charlotte from St. Louis I met a lady in the airport, whose brother is a Southern Baptist preacher. I asked Monique where she was in her walk with the Lord, and she told me that she had never prayed and accepted Christ but was wanting to start visiting churches when she got back home. Long story short, Monique ended up praying and accepting Christ with me in the airport that day. I told her I wanted to help her get connected to a church there in St. Louis but I didn’t know where to suggest for her to visit.
On my return flight I was upgraded to first class, God apparently had a hand in this too because the man in the aisle beside me, Josh, ended up praying and accepting Christ on that flight home. I also told him I wanted to help get him connected to a church, but I didn’t know anything about churches in Texas.
I want to equip people on how to share the gospel, and I want to show them how to engage in a conversation with someone of another religion. By equipping our congregations to share the gospel effectively, we can help new-believers and the un-churched take their next step by connecting them to a local church.
